'Full House' Returns To Television With A Reunion Series Thanks To Netflix

Netflix has been doing an awesome job of bringing back our favorite TV shows and we're not just talking about the reruns of Cheers and Coach. They've also revived shows that fans have been clamoring for again with entirely new seasons like Arrested Development and a new sketch show for Mr. Show's Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. Now they just announced that they are bringing back a show with one of the biggest cult followings in TV history.
Netflix announced that they are creating a spinoff series for Full House called (wait for it) Fuller House. The show will focus on the modern lives of DJ and Kimmy, played respectively by Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber presumably as moms in the modern sitcom world. The show will also feature appearances and cameos by some of the show's principal stars including John Stamos, Dave Coulier and even Bob Saget. The latest news reports didn't say if Jodie Sweetin or either of the Olsen Twins would appear although we assume that the Twins could only play ghosts of their former selves given how pale and rail thin they've become since the original series.
The show's cast and creators have been trying to do a revival for a long time and the closest we've ever come is a hilarious reunion on Jimmy Fallon's show. Netflix is the perfect place to house it since it can't be cancelled mid-season by a group of careless TV executives who don't know what their audience wants from them. If they did, they never would have cancelled Full House in the first place.
Wondering what the original cast will look like in the series? Most recently the cast was together for Dave Coulier's wedding in Colorado with most of the clan in attendance including the show's creator Jeff Franklin. Regardless, let's hope for the best on this one.
